I know what it feels like to watch your body change and wonder where the 'old you' went. As I entered my 30s and started noticing the shifts in my own hormones and energy, I realized that the fitness advice we’ve been given for decades just doesn't cut it for where we are now. Balancing a demanding career, a busy family life (I have 2 kids and a dog), and the unique physical transitions of peri and menopause requires a different kind of strength and a different plan.
My own journey wasn't just about lifting heavier; it was about shifting my mindset. I had to learn to work with my body rather than fighting against it. Combining my background in psychotherapy with specialized strength training and nutrition allowed me to find a realistic, powerful way to thrive. I created Rachel Smith Fitness to be the roadmap I wish I had when I first felt those changes starting.
Whether we are training in-person at my Deerfield gym or connecting across the North Shore, my goal is the same: to help you reclaim your vitality. You don't have to navigate these body changes alone.
